Description
Some properties of eigenfunctions of the Laplace operator resemble those of trigonometric polynomials. In this light, we will discuss oscillations and zeros for linear combinations of eigenfunctions on Riemannian manifolds. We will prove that zeros are somewhat dense in the manifold and mention some, possibly quite difficult, open questions.
