DESCRIPTION:Conference "Algebraic groups: the White Nights season V"\n\nJu
 ly 7 - 11\, 2025\n\nNowadays the concept of an algebraic group plays a key
  role in many branches of mathematics and its applications. The theory of 
 algebraic groups includes plenty of deep ideas and results that establish 
 links between different subjects and techniques\, and provides a uniform a
 pproach to completely different problems. There are several active researc
 h groups in Moscow\, Novosibirsk\, Saint Petersburg and Saratov\, working 
 on various aspects of algebraic groups\, and the aim of the conference is 
 to bring researchers from these groups together and to provide a space for
  sharing the results\, exchanging ideas\, and discussing possible future p
 rojects. The major part of participants\, including invited speakers\, wil
 l be young researchers.\n\nThe subjects of the event are the structural th
 eory of algebraic groups and the theory of algebraic transformation groups
 . The talks will be devoted to automorphisms of algebraic varieties\, toru
 s actions\, gradings on algebras\, affine geometry\, locally nilpotent der
 ivations\, real forms of algebraic groups\, homogeneous spaces\, Galois co
 homology\, Poisson structures on Lie algebras\, and invariant theory.\n\nR
 egistration for the conference closes on June 6th.\n\nThe conference is he
 ld with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of 
 the Russian Federation from the grant for the establishment and developme
 nt of the Leonard Euler St. Petersburg International Mathematical Institu
