DESCRIPTION:ICM 2022 Satellite Conference in\nSpectral Theory and Mathemat
ical Physics\n\n22–26 June\, 2022\n\nThe conference is devoted to spectr
al theory and its applications in modern mathematical physics. There will
be talks on the general operator theory\, differential\, integral and diff
erence operators\, scattering theory\, inverse problems\, periodic and erg
odic operators\, asymptotic methods and applications\, e.g.\, on the moder
n quantum physics and nonlinear physics. We also plan to organize talks de
voted to interesting general analytic problems.\n\nThe conference schedule
and the book of abstracts are now available: Schedule and Book of Abstrac
ts.\n\nThe meetings will be held in a hybrid format. Participants can join
in-person at the Leonhard Euler International Mathematical Institute (Pes
ochnaya nab. 10\, St. Petersburg\, Russia)\, or via Zoom (register to get
the link).\n\nList of Speakers\n\n\n	Grigoriy Agafonkin • Moscow State

 .\n\nOfficial ICM 2022 Satellite\n\nThe St.Petersburg Conference in Spectr
al Theory and Mathematical Physics is an official International Congress
of Mathematicians 2022 (ICM 2022) Satellite conference. The ICM is the
most significant meeting in pure and applied mathematics worldwide\, and o
ne of the oldest scientific congresses. ICMs are organized every four yea
rs by the International Mathematical Union in partnership with the Local O
rganizing Committee from the host country.\n\nSpectral theory and mathemat
ical physics have been among the highlights of St.Petersburg mathematical
school over many decades. The names of L.D.Faddeev\, M.Sh.Birman\, and V.S
.Buslaev are among the names of worldwide leaders in these fields. Several
generations of researchers from St.Petersburg\, working both in Russia an
d abroad\, have been successful in defining a significant part of the inte
rnational mathematical physics and spectral theory community. Our conferen
ce continues a series of St.Petersburg conferences in spectral theory.\n\n
Visa Information\n\nPlease pay the special attention to the need to regist
er for participation in the ICM 2022 on the Congress website for those who
plan to participate in the Congress. Obtaining the right to visa-free ent
ry in the period from 01.03.2022 to 01.09.2022 to the territory of the Rus
sian Federation is granted only to registered participants of the Congress
\, including those who plan to participate in satellite events. We ask als
 o the participants (invited speakers\, speakers\, young mathematicians\, w
omen mathematicians) to register on this page.\n\n\nPrevious meetings:\n\n
