Семинар посвящен построению и изучению представлений бесконечномерных алгебр Ли, таких как алгебры Ли бесконечных матриц, алгебра Вирасоро, алгебра Гейзенберга и аффинных алгебр Каца-Муди в приложении к конформной теории поля.
Доклады основаны на Бомбейских лекциях по теории представлений, прочитанных в институте Тата (г. Бомбей) Виктором Кацем в 1985-1986 годах и изданных в книге: "Бомбейские лекции о представлениях со старшим весом бесконечномерных алгебр Ли", соответствующих авторов. К данному анонсу прилагаются английская и русская (дополненная и существенно исправленная) версии.
Пререквизиты:
1) Базовые знания про алгебры Ли и теорию представлений
2) Желательно предварительное ознакомление с начальными главами вышеупомянутых Бомбейских лекций: участникам, освоившим материал первых 4-х лекций будет проще, однако в случае необходимости материал первых 4-х лекций может быть повторно разобран на семинаре
Семинар предполагает работу и участие каждого присутствующего - доклады организуют сами участники семинара.
Undergraduate seminar "Representation theory of infinite dimensional Lie algebras with highest weight"

The seminar is devoted to the construction and study of representations of infinite dimensional Lie algebras such as infinite matrix Lie algebras, Virasoro algebra, Heisenberg algebra and affine Katz-Moody algebras in application to conformal field theory.
The seminars are based on the Bombay Lectures on representation theory given by Victor Katz at the Tata Institute (Bombay) in 1985-1986 and published in the book: "Bombay lectures on representations with highest weight of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras", by the respective authors. The English and Russian (extended and substantially corrected) versions are attached to this announcement.
Prerequisites:
1) Basic knowledge of Lie algebras and representation theory.
2) Previous knowledge of the first chapters of the Bombay lectures is desirable: participants who have mastered the material of the first 4 lectures will have an easier time, but if necessary the material of the first 4 lectures can be reviewed in the seminar.
The seminar requires the work and participation of everyone present - the presentations will be organised by the participants themselves.
