organize the International Conference
“Algebraic groups, their friends and relations”
In honour of Nikolai Vavilov, on occasion of his 70th birthday.
St.Petersburg, September 19-23, 2022.
Venue: PDMI 27, Fontanka, St.Petersburg, Russia.
Description of the event:
The goal of the conference is to discuss recent progress in the structure theory
and K-theory of linear algebraic groups with applications to related problems of
representation theory, finite group theory, asymptotic group theory, word maps,
Kac--Moody theory, theory of Chevalley groups and the like. These subjects
reflect the wide range of interests of Nikolai Vavilov.
